A Beautiful Hospital Birth

Second babies are so interesting. Often, a lot of false alarms happen, and the anticipation of meeting your baby is such an experience. Miranda had a couple times where she thought it was the real deal, and things dissipated. On May 15th though, she thought it was the real deal (spoiler alert… it was). At around 3pm I got the text that she thought labor was pretty real and by 3:45 she wanted me to come to her. I got to her by 4 and helped her work through some contractions. Things were definitely real, but going slow, so we did a few things to speed up the birthing process a little. I did some acupressure massage and we went for a walk. At about 6 we decided to head in to the hospital. At the hospital, she labored in the pool for a while and at about 9pm, she started talking about wanting her waters to be broken. We went over the pros and cons and she decided to go for it. Shortly after she decided to have them ruptured, she roared her baby earthside at 9:29pm.
