The Birth of Leona- A Colorado Springs Home Birth

On October 20th I arrived to the house around 7pm. Sariah was doing amazing working through the contractions. Shortly after labor started to intensify so she decided to get in the water. She was feeling a small urge to push, but was only 5cm dilated and had a posterior cervix. The midwife helped move it and Sariah moved to the bathroom to labor on the toilet. After only about 30 minutes on the toilet she moved back to the water. She trusted her body and its ability to have a successful VBAC and at 10:39pm on October 20th, she gave birth to her 6lb 3oz baby.
