A Month of Changes with Beautiful Welcome Home Session

March and April (and most of May) brought many changes. Many unexpected and unwanted. Birth plans had to be quickly changed. Some families opted to switch from hospital to home and some had to change their plans for how they birthed and who they had supporting them. I was suppose to be at this family’s birth and I was sooo looking forward to it. When things started changing I was hopeful that things would smooth out in time for the birth, but the closer we got and all the phone calls to the hospital, we had to settle for the inevitable. Mom was only allowed to have one of her partners with her for this. I was devastated for her. To only have one dad witness this birth… I was so happy to be able to at least photograph the moment dad got to meet baby and both dads and mom were together as a family. Just LOOK at how HAPPY they are!
