Women are Going Live on Facebook While Giving Birth and It's F****** Awesome!
Birth is awesome, we all know that. For those that are nervous to give birth, it can be hugely beneficial to look at other women being complete bad-asses during their births (everyone is a bad-ass during birth in case you didn’t know). There is a huge community of women that came together from around the world to watch Paige LoPinto give birth live on Facebook and encourage her and watch her complete bad-assery while she roared her baby earth-side in about 3 hours. Since then, there has been one other mom go live during her birth and others inspired by Paige that plan to go live soon.
The Facebook group now has 7.4 thousand women all encouraging each other and cheering each other on. These women are birth workers, soon to be moms, moms who have given birth multiple times… I’m sure the list goes on.
I have never seen so many women come together just to support each other and it is truly amazing. Birth is beautiful and so powerful and all these women are seeing this. The women going live are showing everyone else the variations in birth, they are showing other women that anything is possible. They are inspiring women to fight for the births that they want.
What really gets me is the encouragement from everyone. The women going live during their birth have hundreds of other women telling them how good they are doing and how awesome they are and sharing positive affirmations with one another.
It is women FINALLY coming together and agreeing on something. They are all agreeing that these moms are strong and that is so beautiful.
Birth is such a taboo topic for some reason, but these women giving birth live are changing that. They are normalizing birth and showing that it is okay to give birth how you please and you can do it.
This is pretty much a movement of women doing nothing but uplifting and empowering one another through their births and that is absolutely amazing.
I would love to know all of your thoughts on this! Would you go live and share your birth? Share your thoughts in the comments. And don’t forget to let these ladies know how amazing they are!!!
